From your reply, I suggest, please calibrate the jpg image(map) using THREE points and not two points, which you have mentioned.

did u try setting up the com port number and baud rate in GPS->Settings?
Also, i guess you are connecting a bluetooth GPS to your device, hence ensure there is a proper paring before you set com port and baud rate.
