New GPSMap releases at last!

Postby shanks on Wed Oct 14, 2009 9:32 pm

It's been a long time coming (2 years!), but a new version of GPSMap-OS is now available!

Notable features in this release:
  • New GPS info dialog to show position, course and speed in nice friendly big letters (View->GPS Info).
  • Indpendent export and import of map points to Google KML placemarks (see Map->Edit Points dialog).
  • Option to display of OS gridlines to check map calibration, also to help working when no map loaded.
  • Added a much requested exit confirmation dialog
  • Also long awaited auto-load of previous map at startup (can be disabled on Map->Settings dialog).
  • Added option to keep device powered on while connected to the GPS (some devices already do this anyway). See GPS->Settings 'Connection' tab.

Grab the new release from http://www.craporola.com/GPSMap.html today!

What's more, an updated version (0.93) of GPSGO is also available for download, now including the KML placemark export/import feature.

Matt. Nice release and implementation. I've tried the new release, OS grid lines, load of previous loaded map, big status screen, all works.

Thanks Matt - the new release works fine on Pocket PC 2003 (Ipaq 4150) - it's nice to have the extra features - I now know I can walk at approx. 2 mph ! (GPS info) and the grid is useful.
